Our Patron:  

 

Saint Wenceslaus was the Duke of Bohemia from 921 until his death in 935.  His father died when he was just 13 and  was  raised by his grandmother, Saint Ludmilla.  In 935, Wenceslaus' younger brother Boleslav invited him to the feast of Cosmas and Damian.  Boleslav told 3 of his friends to murder Saint Wenceslaus on his way to the church. He was supposed to succeed Boleslav as Duke.
