2008 District Speech Contest Results On March 4 the Cavalier Speech Team competed in the NSAA District competition at Bennington. The Cavaliers finished the day with 104 points to easily outdistance 2nd place DC West and their 65 points. Again, Congratulations -- DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! The following individuals qualified for the State Meet with these placings at districts: Humorous Interpretation of Prose Literature Zach Kane - 1st Place and Hannah Kauffold - 2nd Place Oral Interpretation of Poetry Liz Bettendorf - 1st Place Persuasive Speaking Corinne Quick - 1st Place and Ashley Seefeld - 2nd Place Entertainment Speaking Nick Martin - 1st Place and Nolan Sullivan - 2nd Place Informative Public Speaking Corinne Quick - 1st Place Oral Interpretation of Drama Team of Kelly Bouc, Hannah Kauffold, Zach Kane, Nick Martin, Ethan Sabata - 1st Place Duet Acting Team of Joey Zimmerman and Nolan Sullivan - 2nd Place
2008 Class "C" State Speech Meet Results March 18 was the day of State Competition in Kearney. The Cavaliers finished in 3rd place with 98 team Points. Liz Bettendorf brought home Neumann's only Gold medal with a 1st place finish in Poetry. Congratulations Liz - State Champion! Neumann's contingent represented the school and community extremely well. Following are the final placings for each of our state qualifiers.
